Few reasons to choose the Samsung Galaxy
Planning to buy an iPad since you have not found an iPad alternative up to now? Here are a few features of the much discussed Samsung Galaxy Tab that may supply you a suitable alternative.

The seven inch slate was launched on the 2nd of September in the IFA in Berlin; this Android-based tabled computer has been regarded as the first real rival of the iPad by the market gurus.

    The screen, display and portability

The 1024×600 resolution from the screen and also the smaller display size makes it excellent reading devise. The 7-inch touchscreen and the enhanced 16:9 TFT display with WSVGA is spectacular especially when you need to use the Tab to read eBooks and PDFs. To increase the readability factor the Android Market offers several downloadable eBook reading apps that are ideal for Tab.
The Samsung Galaxy Tablet weighs less than the iPad and is much easily portable. Be warned though to hold this you need large hands.

    The hardware and software

Using the Android 2.2 or Froyo if you please, with Samsung User interface, and also the 1GHz Hummingbird Application Processor while offering features similar to the iPad. The Samsung Galaxy Tablet is suited to video calling. The Samsung Galaxy Tab has two cameras, one a primary 3 megapixel camera with LED flash that is combined with 1.3 MP front facing camera.

The Android 2.2 Froyo and the UI enables you to use Adobe Flash 10.1, providing the Tab an edge over the iPad. It also lets you customize homescreens. Another feature which is exciting is the 1080p HD video recording and playback feature.

With regards to mail, the Tab offers integrated email with Gmail and MS Exchange Active Sync. There are several other Google integrated services which you can use within the Tab including the Google Maps, Latitude, Places and beta version from the Google Maps Navigation.
